Borneo Handtapping Tattoo Weekend 2024

Borneo Handtapping Tattoo Weekend is a small traditional tattoo event of selected artists from the region who work consistently and are focusing on hand working tattoo techniques, especially hand tapping. There are a variety of styles of traditional tribal tattoos, neo-tribal tattoos, and traditional tattoo revivals. Several hand working tattoo artists with other techniques except hand tapping will be added for variety and to complete the event for every edition.

Borneo Handtapping Tattoo Weekend accommodates the selected participant tattoo artists and traditional tattoo enthusiasts to interact and be productive collectively in an open natural environment and creative atmosphere. There are also selected performing artists who will be involved at the event.

It’s in Borneo. It’s jungle style.

Opening Ritual:

There will be an opening ritual on the first day of this event on Friday, October 4, 2024, and it will start at 11:00 am in the hall.

Guests and visitors are able to sit on the floor in the middle of the hall to see the ritual.

Only the event crew, participant tattoo artists, and selected performer artists are able to sit in the front row on the stage !

Daily food:

Libiki Bamboo Resort sells traditional and local food during the event. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily for an affordable price. Cash only.

There will be a couple of food stands selling a variety of foods and drinks located at the barbeque hut in the area of the venue.

Closing:

The closing of the event on Sunday 6th of October 2024 at midnight.

Monday 7th of October 2024 all participant artists, performing artists, and the public who stay overnight during the event at Libiki Bamboo Resort are welcome to stay longer for any special tour schedule during the post-event. Or decide to check out and leave the venue.

Entry Ticket for Visitors:

Buy a ticket on the site to enter the resort at the receptionist.

Adult RM 3, children RM 2 (Below 6 Yrs Old: FREE), elders (60-70 years old) RM 2 (above 70 yrs old: FREE), KPG BIJURAY IC RM 1, disabled person – FREE.

Visitors who are not staying at Libiki Bamboo Resort are able to enter the complex area at 10:00 am and must leave the venue area at 9:00 pm.
